Jim and his son fished the Watauga (floated from below the damn at Siam to the bridge takeout one day and then a half-day wade on the Orvis private water way up on the Watauga, outside of Boone before it even gets to the lake.

Jim commented the Watauga River is 15-20 yards wide at that point. As you can see,  they had wonderful fishing.
