The Cape Fear Flyfishers will hold a general meeting on Wednesday, October 21. The meeting will start at 6:00 at the St. James Community Center.

Pre-meeting Activity

The Rev holds pre-meeting casting instruction and practice from 5:00-6:00, weather permitting.  Bring your rod or use one of ours. Arrive early for the meeting if you wish to network with other members.

Matias Claret of Set Flyfishing in Argentina will be our speaker. I have fished with Set for golden dorado and plan to go on a trout trip with them in December.

They are a first-class operation that did an excellent job with the logistics on our trip, moving our group across Argentina to a series of lodges. The food and beverage service was outstanding. They have very experienced guides who are well versed on the habits of the local fish.

Post-meeting Activity

For those interested in networking with other club members, we usually go to Paul’s in Oak Island after the meeting for a burger and beverage.
