Rick Hettenbach and Jim White “Rev” gave an informative presentation on local fishing spots. Google Maps was used to project the location on a screen. Several knowledgeable members: Mike Raby, Brandon McNeil, and Tom Dyum joined the discussion with their invaluable experience. The presenters discussed the types of fish, the close launching points, and how to get your boat to the location. Details of shortcuts through the marsh areas during high tide were displayed. The members cautioned others on oyster reefs and mud flats to avoid. The areas included were from Lockwood Folly, along the various creeks and rivers to Bald Head Island’s marsh area.
